Each year for seminary there is a scripture that the counsel of seminary students choose to focus on for that year. This year the scripture is 1 Timothy 4:12.
"Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity."
I think this is a very good scripture for high school students because there are a lot of bad examples around us so we need to choose to be the good examples.
I love how it lists many different ways we can be "example[s] of the believers". In the way, we speak and communicate with people, the way we treat and act around others, as well as how we live our faith.
This is one of my favorite Mormon Messages ever. It shows the charity and love we should have for everyone around us, no matter their circumstance. I hope you enjoy it and think of ways you can be "an example of the believers" and show charity to others.
Always have hope,
Colby
