A few weekends ago I went to Youth Conference with my ward. We were able to go up to Temple Square and go to some of the museums and activities up there. If you haven't been up to Temple Square you should definitely go with your family. There's such an amazing spirit there and fun activities to do. (And there are beautiful lights during Christmas time). I was really excited to go up cause I haven't been there in a long time and I was looking forward to bonding with the youth in my ward.
After we got up there we went to This is the Place, Heritage Park. The workers were dressed in Pioneer outfits and taught us some pioneer dances (which made m miss Nauvoo). We had dinner and then a huge dance party before going to the hotel.
On Saturday morning we visited Temple Square to see some of the museums and sites there. We even saw a couple wedding parties which made me really happy! :) We went to the tabernacle as well as the conference center. My favorite place we saw was the Family History Museum. They recently redid the place and it looks amazing! It is very interactive and I learned a lot more about my family and myself from the activities at the museum. This would be a fun activity for families because there's something for everyone to do.
I had a blast at youth conference and enjoyed strengthening my testimony and getting closer to those in my ward. I'm grateful that I was able to go up to Temple Square.

Last week was Spring Break for me and my brothers. My family and I got to go down to Southern Utah with some of our neighbors and hike around. I was excited because I enjoy hiking but a little worried about the big cliffs cause we had little kids with us. We went to Canyonlands as well as Arches National Park. And we discovered that because of my disability, I get a free lifetime pass to get into all the National Parks. So hopefully we'll go to a few more in the next couple years. (And if you ever want to go, I'm your girl!)
We hiked Slick Rock in Canyonlands and there were many beautiful views.
We also went to Moab and explored the city, There are so many cute shops and things to see, and we had lunch at a really good taco truck.
I'm slightly obsessed with Jeeps, so I was really excited to find so many!
Goblin Valley was so cool!! There were so many different rock formations I could've spent hours exploring.
I had so much fun in Moab and was glad I got to spend it with family and friends. My love grew for the outdoors and the beautiful creations we have on this earth.
Always have hope,

This weekend was LDS General Conference.(If you haven't watched it, I highly encourage you to do so) This is one of my favorite times of the year because we get to hear counsel from the Apostles and Prophet of the LDS church and the things we can do better. It is a great time to spend with family and build traditions. We always make orange rolls and play Conference Bingo. I also love it because I fill up about 20 pages in my journal of notes!:)
They announced some church statistics for 2016, here are a few!
70,946 full-time missionaries
15,882,417 members
155 LDS Temples in operation
There were 5 new LDS temples announced!
1. Brazil
2. Manila, Philippines
3. Nairobi, Kenya
4. Pocatello, Idaho
5. Saratoga Springs
Here are a few of my favorite quotes from General Conference. What are some of your Conference traditions or favorite quotes?

My family and I got to Vegas this weekend for the WAC Basketball Tournament. As some of you may know I am the ball girl for the UVU Women's Basketball team and have been for 7 years! I love it so much! The won their first tournament game on Wednesday in overtime so we went up to watch them play on Friday. The coach reserved us a room in the Orleans hotel where all the teams stay and where the arena is. It was so cool!I was a little scared sometimes because we were in Vegas, but it was a family-friendly hotel. They had this awesome casino and restaurants inside the hotel, even a Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory! :)
When the coach got there with our room key, the whole team was there. It was a big hug line and seriously the best thing. I felt so special and loved. I love my UVU girls!!
On Friday morning we went to explore Vegas more before watching the game. We went to the Bellagio hotel where they have these fountains that "dance" to music. They were also working on some displays in the gardens, made of just flowers! It was really neat and smelled really good!
The Orleans arena was super awesome! They had moving walkways and escalators just like an airport. We made lots of fun signs before going into the stadium. I sat down on the front row because I figured if I can't be on the bench with the team, I want to be as close as possible. As my parents and I were sitting and waiting for the game to start, the assistant coach walked by and handed me a lanyard with a pass on it. It said "BENCH". So guess what that meant??? I got to do the water and towels! It was the best day ever! We fought really hard but ended up losing by 1 point! It was really sad and I was crying at the end, but we had a great season and I was privileged to be a part of it! And it was a lot of fun going to Vegas!
We loved the UVU elevator

I was teaching a lesson in Young Women's a couple weeks about why we have adversity and how we can overcome it. This was a great topic to study and learn more about because it's something I think we all need to remember and learn how to do. I read some good talks and scriptures that gave me comfort about overcoming adversity and trials.
My mom shared this great video with me that was really inspiring. And it resonated a lot with me because sometimes I feel like I cant do certain things, but I know I can overcome any challenge, and you can too!

This is a great scripture that is a reminder to me that if we keep trying our best and moving forward, even though it may be hard, we will be blessed in our trials. And I know this is true.

Last month we had a really awesome mutual activity about the power of music. This guy named Cody Duncan came to talk to us about the things he has learned about how music influences our brains. He shared a study that was really interesting to me. They had plants that were listening to 2 different types of music and the plants that were listening to the calmer music thrived more than the ones listening to the rock music. After I heard this I started thinking about what music can do to our brains.
As much as I love music, I do have to admit that the music that is out there these days is not that great. But sometimes I don't think we recognize that the music is not good because it is what is played on the radio and what "everyone listens to. But I always like to remember that "The world's standards are not the Lords' standards.' So even though it may be popular, that doesn't mean it's good and that we should be listening to it. And I think this applies to all media such as movies, books, social media apps etc. We need to be very careful of what we put in our brains.
Cody shared some things that we can think about as we are listening to and choosing music. We need to listen to the words, emotion, and beat of the song. In most cases one or two of these, but we should make sure that all of these are considered and that we find good music.
After hearing this, I really started to think about the music that I listen to and how it is affecting me. And I really hope that you can do the same thing and we can all listen to good music!
This is one of my favorite videos! These two are amazing singers and make this hymn so fun. I hope you enjoy and think about the service you can think about the service you can do.
